As we all know, the uk is unleashing some amazing talent onto the world right now and its getting better and better. This is where I talk about Lyrican, he grew up on the streets of Longsight, Manchester and started rhyming in 2004 at the age of just 16, making his name ripping up underground open mics, freestyling on radio and performing at local festivals. He got his first break when he won a competition called urban superstars, towards the end of 04, which was held at bridge water hall in front of a crowd of 3,000. From that day onwards, he continued to write and record and push his name. At the start of 2005 he met Hoodman and they immediately hooked up in the studio and began working together regularly. Before Lyrican knew it he had a video on MTV base and channel u, regular slots on the Tim Westwood show, the ras qwame homegrown show on 1xtra and three mixtape releases under his belt. Since then he has toured the country many times and had much recognition. The Mancunian Candidates is his latest official mixtape. critics already have him down as an artist destined for stateside glory, stating "He has something no british rapper has, he has a global appeal, i have a good feeling about this kid".
